I prefer collaborating and solving together over working in isolation. I love the immediacy of front-end development and the rigor and discipline of back-end development. I prefer doing things over talking about things. I like doing wire-mocks and designing, but I’m not a designer. I can manage projects and timelines when required, but I prefer experimenting and learning over scoping and planning. I love learning new things. I don’t like silos.

But if you want someone to create and manage cloud infrastructure or Kubernetes clusters, I'm not your guy.

B2B analytics platform for ESG data on investment portfolios. I joined the team 2 months before alpha launch, participated in integration of the back-end into the front-end (they had been developed in until right before launch) and have since participated in daily delivery and maintenance as part of a team with 3 designers and 1 other (senior) front-end developer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop new features and maintain existing codebase
  • Implement component library associated with internal design system
  • Implement Chromatic (with StoryBook) as UI testing tool and design system component library docs

Front-end in React (javascript) with redux-bees, hosted on AWS (S3) with content from a mix of legacy PHP back-end and JSON files. An open pages shop for new mobile voice subscriptions, phone bundles mobile internet subscriptions, along with up/down-grades for existing customers.

Front-end developer @ B2C TV subscription sales

May 2020 - October 2020

Front-end in React (javascript and typescript) with Redux and Rxjs, hosted in a hacked SiteCore set-up with content in JSON files. An open pages shop for TV (channel packages) subscriptions handling both new and existing customers.

Back-end developer @ B2B mobile voice subscriptions

Back-end developer on cross-functional team (front-end, back-end, designers and business) handling mobile voice sales in B2B part of Nuuday. Initially an open-pages shop for new customers (now closed), later self-service for enterprise solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain middle-layer software between front-end and legacy systems
  • Transition existing software solution from monolith to microservice architecture
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD tools (Jenkins, then Drone and Spinnaker deploying to Openshift later Rancher)
